Cathie
Cathie was diagnosed in January, 1998 - IBC left side with lymph node involvement at age 50.
Treatment:
4 doses of CA (Cytoxan and Adriamycin),
MRM (modified radical mastectomy),
HDC/SCR (high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell rescue) (CTCb),
30 doses of Rads (Radiation Treatment) with 1 week of boosters.
Additional:
Simple Mastectomy Right side,
10 Weeks of Herceptin.
Wrong Turns:
Mis-diagnosed as recurrence in November, 1999 - right side Axilla (underarm
lymph nodes)
2 doses of Xeloda (overdosed)
Removed Right side Axilla. NED (No Evidence of Disease) on pathology report in February, 2000

from Diagnosis - also the anniversary of our first date on
February 14, 1969
Life is good, as we watch our two sons continue to grow.
