I was diagnosed on July 6, 2000 at the age of 49.

Diagnosed with IBC in July, 2000 at age 49. The treatment began with 4 rounds of Adriamycin/Cytoxan.

October, 2000, put on Tamoxifen for the next 5 years, and had MRM...pathology report came back with cancer having spread to lymph nodes, and no clear skin margins in the chest wall. The cancer had encompassed the entire right breast.

I had more chemo. This time it was Taxol. Finally, in February 2001, I began the 34 radiation treatments, and in April, 2001 I had completed treatment. My CAT Scan and Bone scan from May, 2001 have come back fine.

Life has not been easy this past year, but the Lord has been blessing me with friends and family who listen, help, and love me. I've made it for one year now, and plan to make it for many more years.
